potty

so...... luci pooped on the potty today!
let me explain. she is very "spirited" when she is about to and/or is pooping. i can always tell and it's only a matter of time before i have to change a diaper. well, i bought a potty before she was even born at a mom to mom sale and i thought "hmmm maybe i'll get it out and see what she does when i sit her little bottom on it."
as she began to grunt, i quickly raced upstairs, stripped off her diaper and sat her little bum down. she promptly crossed her ankles, played with a couple toys and pooped. immediately when she was done, she wanted up, to be wiped and to go on with her day. the whole toilet time was about 2 minutes or else i would have taken a picture of her seated. it was so darn cute. and hilarious.
no, i'm not planning on potty training her this early. but i will continue to do this if we're home and i sense a poop coming on. i figure, i'd rather have poop plop in a toilet and not in my underwear so i'm sure so would she.
next time i'll get a pic if i can! my mom said i was trained at about 17 months. that to me is insane however my bro and i are 15 months apart and my mom figured she'd like to make her life a bit easier by having only one child in diapers. she said i was pretty easy to potty train as well. trav on the other hand enjoyed crapping his pants occasionally up until the age of 4 or 5.
